Classical concert series returning to Hampstead in December 2013

I am delighted to announce a second season of Hampstead Christmas Concerts. Thank you to everyone who supported us so generously in our first season last year!

The 2013 season will open on Sunday December 8th with our inaugural Young Artist Recital, delivered by pianist James Sherlock, winner of BBC Fame Academy and Royal Overseas League Piano Competition, who some of you may also know as the local Director of Music at Hampstead Parish Church!

Following a sell-out concert last year, the Hampstead Consort will be presenting another Family Carol Concert on Sunday December 15th at Burgh House. This event will be entirely dedicated to the children of Hampstead and their families, so do come and sing along to some our favourite Christmas carols!

Some of you may remember Siglo de Oro as the ensemble who performed a chamber version of Handel's Messiah last year. They will return this year, as Hampstead Christmas Concert's official Ensemble-in-Residence, with a varied programme based chronologically on the Nativity, featuring works by Palestrina, Poulenc, Britten, Vaughan Williams and Eric Whitacre, to name a few.

I hope that many of you will be joining us this year, and am really looking forward to welcoming back familiar faces and meeting new ones!
