Classical concert series returning to Hampstead in December 2014

I am delighted to announce a third season of Hampstead Christmas Concerts. Thank you to everyone who supported us so generously in our second season last year!

The 2014 season will open on Saturday December 13th with a lunchtime performance of Britten's Ceremony of Carols by our Ensemble-in-Residence Siglo de Oro, Lady Margaret School chamber choir and harpist Vicky Lester. Later on the same day, vibrant young choir Khoros present Carols by Candlelight, which will include opportunities to join in with the singing!

On Tuesday December 16th, Siglo de Oro will present a very different kind of Christmas concert. As part of a collaboration with the saxophonist Sam Corkin, the choir will give the UK premieres of eight newly-commissioned works, each by a different composer, all of which set texts taken from the Advent antiphons.

Following a sell-out last year, the Hampstead Consort will be presenting two Family Carol Concerts on Sunday December 21st at Burgh House. These will be entirely dedicated to the children of Hampstead and their families, so do come and sing along to some our favourite Christmas carols!

I hope that many of you will be joining us this year, and am really looking forward to welcoming back familiar faces and meeting new ones!
